About The Position

The Costa Rica In-Country Travel Study Support Specialist will provide essential support for the Costa Rica Study Abroad Program, focusing on both student and operational needs. This role includes managing residential life services, coordinating in-country activities, and offering emergency and risk management support. The specialist will also handle financial transactions, track budgets, and liaise with faculty, staff, and community partners, ensuring smooth program operations and financial accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with one to four years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of software applications used to support office functions.
• Familiarity with internet resources is required.
• A valid driver's license or ability to obtain is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-the-ground and online support for the Costa Rica Study Abroad Program.
• Coordinate and facilitate in-country activities for students.
• Offer emergency and risk management support to students.
• Manage residential life support services for participants.
• Document all financial transactions and track budgets for the program.
• Liaise with UVM faculty, staff, administrative staff, and community partners.
• Prepare financial administrative reports and address accounting inquiries to close out expenses each semester.
