About The Position

This position involves Invoice Validation & Processing, which includes reviewing and validating vendor invoices against Purchase Orders (POs) and governing documents. This entails confirming the scope of work, cost basis, allowable rates, applicable Work Orders (WOs), and effective dates, as well as ensuring proper accounting and allocation using Work Order, Commodity Code (CC), and timesheet data. The role also requires troubleshooting and resolving discrepancies in invoice data, documentation, or allocations, and routing validated invoices through the Ariba approval workflow. Additionally, the role includes Timesheet Validation & Processing, where timesheets are validated for compliance with PO terms and governing documents, confirming allowable rates, units, WOs, and PO references. It ensures accurate cost allocation and documentation for invoicing purposes, involves entering timesheet data into a database, and identifying and resolving discrepancies in timesheet entries, supporting documentation, or rate calculations. The position also encompasses Reporting, generating standardized and ad-hoc reports to support project cost analysis, contractor performance tracking, and other financial or operational metrics. It assists in compiling data for internal reviews, audits, and forecasting activities, and involves performing administrative and clerical duties as directed. The role supports project cost control across multiple initiatives, including validating invoices and timesheets against conformed contracts and database records, obtaining payment approvals, and ensuring accurate cost allocation using Work Orders, Commodity Codes, and governing documents. Responsibilities also include generating standardized and ad-hoc reports to support project analysis, contractor performance, and financial metrics. All results and issues must be communicated to the Manager of Project Controls and other departments within NIPSCO as needed.

Requirements

  • High school & post-secondary education.
  • 3 plus Years of experience.
