About The Position

The BD Analytics Specialist applies engineering principles and techniques of computer science and statistics to develop data-driven, evidence-based solutions for business development projects. This role involves collaborating with project leaders, defining data requirements, conducting data analysis, and creating analytical methods and tools to uncover insights from large data sets.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree preferably in applied mathematics, statistics, data science, data analytics or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree in a related technical discipline plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Strong understanding of computer science, statistics, and data analysis principles.

Responsibilities

Apply engineering principles and techniques of computer science and statistics to develop data-driven, evidence-based solutions for business development projects.
Collaborate with business development project leaders and other professionals to define data requirements.
Interact with business development and capture teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.
Assist in the creation of various analytical methods, tools, and processes to discover business development information hidden in vast amounts of data.
Design and implement processes, experiments, and prototyping solutions for data mining, analysis, modeling, predicting, and presenting on business development activities.
Make meaningful business insights from large data and metadata sources; interpret and communicate insights and findings from analysis and experiments.
Use advanced statistical and reporting methods to contribute to the development of business development solutions associated with large data sets.
Contribute to and be accountable for the completion of assigned projects and tasks.
Provide work direction to other employees as a technical lead.
Participate in internal reviews.
Lead in the creation of various analytical methods, tools, and processes to discover business development information hidden in vast amounts of data.
Design and implement processes, experiments, and prototyping solutions for a variety of data sets used for data mining, analysis, modeling, predicting, and presenting on business development activities.
