This role ensures accurate product cost reporting and cost variance analysis. This Cost Processing Specialist will support operational decision-making and contribute to efficiency improvements across production processes. Work Mode: Hybrid 3 days on site Location: N 7650 Lakeshore Road Sheboygan WI Travel : minimal Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring new or transfer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Requirements

  • Two-year associate degree in accounting or finance or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in the field.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring new or transfer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience SAP and product costing is a plus
  • Account reporting is a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel

Responsibilities

  • Development and maintenance of standard costs from information supplied by Engineering, Purchasing, Materials and other Manufacturing personnel. This includes coordinating the necessary activities of other departments that need to occur before a standard cost can be calculated, obtaining purchase standards from Purchasing, creating Accounting and Costing views in SAP, and reviewing Bills of Material, routing data and all relevant material master settings for accuracy.
  • Compile information for the monthly and weekly control and analysis of Power Systems Operations spending and performance. Activities include data extraction from SAP, spreadsheet data entry, and Excel worksheet manipulation.
  • Responsible for assigning and maintaining WBS elements for New Product development and miscellaneous business activities.
  • Assist in the monthly accounting close. Activities include processing journal entries, SAP data extraction, and executing SAP reports.
  • Assist in the annual standard costing, budgeting and financial planning process for Power Systems Operations. This includes spreadsheet data entry and Excel worksheet manipulation along with the preparation of supplemental exhibits for the financial plan. Also assist with the analysis of standard cost changes.
  • Provide backup to other technicians and accountants in the department including the Daily Sales & orders report, assembly/distribution of financial books, operations productivity reporting, compliance reports, etc.
  • Conduct other special activities as assigned by the manager.
