About The Position

We are seeking a Cost Management Analyst II to join our team in Portland, OR. Our Portland team is growing! We are looking for an individual who will be a key team member of the project controls team to perform cost management/quantity surveying support. This role is based at our premiere client’s semiconductor project site in Hillsboro, OR. Your role Commercial management of construction using unit rate contracts. Reviewing contractor change orders with strong adherence to the contractual methods of measurement. Review contractor change orders for accurate items against P&ID drawings. Prepare what-if estimates leveraging large data pulls. Track progress systematically and within agreed timelines. Field walking scope to understand quantities. Prepare ad-hoc cost analysis using advanced Excel skills. Discuss means and methods, and constructability. Review new rates to ensure alignment with existing contract rates. Team collaboration with coworkers and with fellow contractors, designers, and the client. Willingness to bring creative solutions to client and team challenges. Some duties may require the use of personal protective equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working around one or more dangerous elements or conditions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying or a related field, plus 5 - 10 years relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, strong Excel preferred.
  • Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills required (interfaces regularly with contractors, designers, client).
