Requirements

  • Strong written, verbal communication and organizational skills
  • One to three years of construction industry experience, preferably with commercial construction
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite and Smartsheet preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree, in construction, engineering, or architecture preferred; or 2 years of applicable construction trade experience in lieu of a degree

Nice To Haves

  • Prior working experience with On-Screen Takeoff (OST), or other industry related take-off software is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Aid with administrative tasks as needed, primarily a combination of data entry, updating of project deliverable dates and bid tracking within Smartsheets, which involves outreach and client interaction.
  • Perform quantity take-off in a manner and level of detail consistent with the project goals and support the team.
  • Input estimate data into the appropriate software
  • Provide a detailed review of all documentation and assist with development of comprehensive cost estimates/models that communicate the client’s project and strategic goals.
  • Assure that a quality product is presented to the client through adherence to the company’s QA/QC procedures.
  • Assist in the creation of cost estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations, at all levels of project development, as part of the internal team.
  • Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project’s goals (verbal, written, and graphics)
  • Actively research, solicit, and develop sources/vendors for compiling and maintaining the accuracy of cost information.
  • Desire to learn, grow, and advance their skills in estimating and various other project controls.
