About The Position

As a Cost Controls Specialist, located onsite in Channelview, Texas, you will work with the Project Controls team as you support cost controls on transportation projects. This role will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on project costs, ensuring that all financial aspects of the project are managed effectively while onsite to partner directly with stakeholders 5 days per week.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in cost control functions.
• Proficiency in cost control software and tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor subconsultant costs against budgets to identify potential cost impacts.
• Prepare and maintain cost reports, forecasts, and budgets.
• Report to Project Controls Manager and collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cost control procedures and processes.
• Review and validate invoices and change orders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to cost control.
