Your role at a glance The Cost Specialist provides support to the NTT Global Data Center Americas Cost Management Team, a program focused on Cost and Budget Controls for Major Construction projects. The scope of the team is inclusive of Major and Minor Construction related activities prior to handover to operations. The primary objective of this role is to enable Cost Management solutions and its optimization, processes, and use of resources. What we are looking for ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Administering control systems implemented to drive consistent, reliable, and accurate assessment of the financial position for all construction projects Work closely with Supply chain to facilitate the issuance of Purchase Orders and Purchase Order Changes Work closely with various cross functional partners for all projects to facilitate PO Closeouts Liaison between Cost Management and Finance to monitor and report on the reconciliation of retention Liaison between Cost Management and Finance to report accruals and prepaid expenses Liaison between Cost Management, Vendors, and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice related inquiries Liaison between Cost Managers and Finance for Audit-related inquiries Compile and maintain data for project buyout analytics Perform ad hoc cost and variance analyses to identify trends, drivers, and opportunities for cost optimization, and support business decisions, budgeting, and planning Create and Maintain Cashflows based on contractual milestones for Owner Furnished Contractor Installed equipment Work closely with IT in the continued development and implementation SAP Compile and publish Monthly reporting requirements for leadership Maintain Weekly updates for Minor Project Budgets Development and implement Power Bi Models to enable KPI tracking Establish and/or maintain Power BI dashboards, templates and other tools to improve automation within the Cost Management Program Create and Maintain KPI Dashboards to help inform business decisions for trends and Supplier Business Reviews KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Strong and proven capability using excel to analyze large data sets. Experience with Power Bi and other modeling software platforms. Strong analytical, problem-solving skills. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive data driven results in a fast-paced environment. Excellent analytical, creative thinking, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly set and lead meetings to develop strong project control systems. Ability to be highly confidential. Proficient with computers to include the utilization of Microsoft programs such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Works well in a team environment and independently, gives and receives clear expectations well. Manages stress and/or fast pace effectively. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, or related field. 2-5 years’ experience within a construction cost management environment, preferrable in the construction, mission critical, data center, semi-conductor, IT or similar sectors. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending. Able to hear and speak into a telephone. Close visual work on a computer terminal. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments. Able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. WORK CONDITIONS Standard office; Data Center environment with varying temperatures and loud noises; extensive daily usage of workstation or computer. This role is expected to be remote with an occasional need to be on-site in a shared space. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to travel up to 25%. Must possess a current, valid state-issued driver’s license. Compensation Pay Range This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device. NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $120,000.00 - $175,000.00. All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
