Requirements

  • Post-secondary or related construction or operational training and/or experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 0 to 2 years of related experience in administrative or financial support roles.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and a collaborative work style.
  • Problem solving, decision-making, organization, and planning skills.
  • Showcase the ability to cultivate positive relationships and interact professionally with team members, internal collaborators, clients, and business partners across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to optimally manage and prioritize workload in a fast paced and dynamic environment and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in tracking project costs at the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) level, including control budgets, incurred costs, commitments, and forecasts, under guidance.
  • Support the preparation of basic cost information and reports for the project team, ensuring accuracy through established processes.
  • Perform routine data entry and updates for cost metrics and forecasts following standard procedures.
  • Assist with monthly project close activities and help compile project reports and cost summaries in Excel and EcoSys under supervision.
  • Help document project change requests in accordance with Project Management Office standards.
  • Participate in meetings with Project Managers and team members to observe and learn about cost review and forecasting practices.
  • Verify cost transactions for accuracy by following predefined checks and escalating discrepancies as needed.
