About The Position

DAS Services is seeking an experienced Cost Analyst to provide cost-estimating support. The Cost Analyst will be responsible for creating, developing, analyzing, and evaluating costs associated with major and non-major areas of Army acquisition and sustainment. This role involves developing, modifying, and validating cost and economic analyses to support cost-effective decision-making processes. The analyst will analyze mission requirements to determine cost parameters, specific cost factors, and relationships that will be utilized in constructing cost models. The position requires the ability to utilize judgment, contacts within the DoD cost community, and an extensive background to perform analysis of organizational issues or concerns, presenting findings to leadership. The Cost Analyst will perform integrated analysis and cost estimating of Army programs, efforts, and activities as they relate to all phases of the Acquisition life cycle, including Research and Development, Procurement, and Operations and Sustainment. Additionally, the analyst will be tasked with organizing, coordinating, and synthesizing contributions from other analysts, functional areas, and organizations, alongside their own investigative analysis. The role also includes preparing high-level presentations, analyses, and reports of significant findings for evaluation. The Cost Analyst will analyze, model, and transform data to highlight useful information, suggest conclusions, and support decision-making.
