This opportunity entails performing routine cost analysis assignments requiring knowledge of basic cost analysis principles. Preparing and maintaining client budgets for projects/programs. Managing the vetting and recording of costs for projects. Reviewing and analyzing project invoices. Monitoring cost history to develop trends and forecast cost at completion. Establishing and tracking contingency funds.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Construction Management or Accounting, or In lieu of education, 2 years of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Review and process Design/Construction invoices, service orders, work orders, project orders, change orders, notice to proceed, reduction of retainage, substantial completion and contract closing documents.
  • Reconcile project accounts, budgets and reports.
  • Review Miami Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) contracts.
  • Assist with MDAD weekly closing process (Requisitions and QA/QC).
  • Work with MDAD SharePoint system.
  • Review and post MDAD bond bank statements monthly.
  • Hyperlink/archive executed construction documents .
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews, analyzes, and processes invoices and payment applications.
  • Operates budget/cost system, including documenting and tracking changes to budget, commitments, and expenditures.
  • May manage budget/cost function for a small project or portion of a project with direct supervision.
  • Generates standard and ad hoc reports including budget reports, forecast-at-completion estimates, and other reports under guidance
  • Tracks project estimate-at-completion (EAC) by recording all potential and actual changes to cost accounts, including change orders, trends, and deviations.
  • Records transactions related to budget, commitments, expenditures, or forecasts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
