About The Position

As a Cost Analyst 1 at ULA, you will play an important role on the Finance Integrated Program Team in Denver, CO. Key responsibilities include: Budget and Schedule Management: Coordinates with Control Account Managers (CAMs) to maintain cost and schedule baselines, prepare schedules, and assist in Estimate At Complete (EAC) evaluations. Financial and Performance Analysis: Conducts financial/schedule analyses, including funding profiles, varianceanalysis, critical paths, and risk assessments. Utilizes performance metrics to improve program performance. Funding and Risk Management: Ensures accurate expenditure records, prepares funding projections, trackscommitments, and integrates risks and opportunities with baseline schedules and costs. Reporting and Deliverables: Prepares and submits required deliverables and provides ad hoc reporting to supportmanagement decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Foundational understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, or cost management
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and interpret basic financial or scheduling metrics
  • Familiarity with concepts such as variance analysis, forecasting, or risk assessment
  • Good time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both on a team and think independently with a proactive approach to business solutions

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with MS Excel, notably pivot tables, formulas and charts
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
