About The Position

We are seeking an Accounting Supervisor to lead financial planning and analysis at the plant level, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. This role involves maintaining precise product costing, conducting variance analysis, and providing recommendations for profitability improvements. The successful candidate will work closely with plant management to enhance operational efficiency and support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or cost management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, manufacturing processes, and operational metrics.
  • Proficient in financial software (ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Solid knowledge of financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and internal control frameworks.

  • Experience in strategic financial management and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead plant-level budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Track performance against budget and forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability.
  • Maintain accurate product costing, variance reporting, and cost allocation.
  • Analyze manufacturing variances (materials, labor, overhead) and collaborate with operations to ensure BOM and standard cost accuracy.
  • Partner with plant management to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct audits for accurate reporting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS and corporate policies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and support internal/external audits.
  • Evaluate Capex projects and conduct ROI analysis for plant investments.
  • Provide financial justification for new projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Work closely with operations, supply chain, procurement, and engineering to align financial objectives with business strategies.
  • Provide insights for decisions related to production planning, capacity utilization, and supply chain optimization.
  • Deliver financial modeling and analysis for pricing strategies, product profitability, and make-versus-buy decisions.
  • Support the Plant Controller with strategic projects and other duties as assigned.
