Overview Reporting to the Global Plant Controller, the Cost Accounting Manager is a key contributor within the Accounting organization. This individual partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Distribution to drive financial performance and cost visibility across the enterprise.

Requirements

• Must be available for relocation to Idaho Falls, Idaho (corporate relocation assistance provided)
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in cost accounting
• Strong background in cost accounting within manufacturing environments
• Experience leading accounting teams of Two or more professionals
• Demonstrated success as a change agent
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence a variety of audiences
• Experience working in a matrixed environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and time sensitive deliverables

Nice To Haves

• Experience with logistics, distribution, trucking, or warehousing cost structures preferred
• Familiarity with transactional and reporting systems

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop members of the Cost Accounting team
• Oversee cost accounting processes across manufacturing, distribution, and logistics
• Analyze trucking, warehousing, and freight expenses to improve cost visibility and control
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Distribution teams to evaluate and reduce costs
• Determine and validate landed costs for raw materials and turnkey items
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes related to production, logistics, and distribution
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction and inventory optimization
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory valuation and reporting
