See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality: Position Overview: Assists the Plant Controller with all general accounting functions and activities; maintains accounting systems to ensure proper accounting and recording of company transactions; and provides financial statements, analysis, and other key performance reporting to ensure that Management is provided with the appropriate information to make informed business decisions. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • 1 to 4 years financial experience required; manufacturing company experience preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data and present concise message to the business required.
  • Ability to work as an effective team player.
  • Ability to work with confidential information and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours to support the requirements of the business.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in cost accounting, specifically around financial close activities.
  • Proficiency in Business Objects and Product Costing Applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Knowledge of Oracle eBS a plus.
  • Manufacturing environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs monthly closing procedures in accordance with GAAP principles and adherence to SOX procedures
  • Responsible for maintaining and reconciling all balance sheet accounts and subledgers
  • Maintains weekly facility operational scorecard and prepares necessary management reports to communicate the data in an effective and timely manner
  • Work with management to identify continuous improvement and cost savings
  • Works with Accounting Coordinator to generate and provide invoicing related documentation to dealer network in a timely manner. Confirm shipping records are accurate for revenue recognition purposes.
  • Work with Accounts Payable and Warehouse personnel to maintain accurate payment and receiving records
  • Supervises disbursement of company funds and aligns plant delegation of authority with the corporate guidelines
  • Manages fixed asset physical control, including physical audits, and communicates to corporate headquarters all required information.
  • Conducts monthly engine, finished good, and WIP inventory counts
  • Collaborate with Production Scheduler to verify build records and provide accurate WIP inventory and Efficiency/Productivity calculations
  • Assists Plant Controller with monthly forecast preparation
  • Responds to Plant Controller for special projects, financial reports and analysis
  • Maintain and distribute KPI reporting as directed
  • Other duties as assigned.
