Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a rewarding role in the exciting aerospace industry? As a key member of the finance team, as the Cost Accountant, you will be assigned monitoring of material transactions, data analysis and tasks to support sales and operations activities. You will support monthly and annual physical inventory, capital expenditures and assisting in audits. We have an exciting opportunity for a cost accountant to join our busy Finance Team. Working as part of a small, but experienced, team you will complete a range of management and financial accounting activities. This is a varied business support role allowing you the opportunity to work on a variety of activities independently and as part of a team:

  • Collecting and analyzing data about company’s operational costs
  • Monitoring all material transactions (receipts/transfers/sales) to ensure the correct recording in Optimat
  • Carrying out cost-volume-profit analysis – by heat/alloy/customer
  • Supporting sales team with detailed cost analysis for customer quote
  • Collaborating with operation for scrap improvement and inventory reduction
  • Partnering with purchasing to assist material planning to ensure the proper cash outflow
  • Preparing monthly inventory account reconciliation
  • Responsible for annual physical inventory (counting/adjustment/reconciliation)
  • Recommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit
  • Managing capital expenditure (% of completion and payment reconciliation)
  • Assisting external/internal audit by preparing cost related schedules
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Ability to prepare financial reports and give recommendations based on available data
  • Superior knowledge of financial reporting software tools and ERP software
  • In-depth knowledge of financial guidelines and regulations
  • Strong financial analysis and effective communication skills
  • 10 years Manufacturing accounting experience a plus
