Position Overview: Are you a hands-on accountant who thrives in a manufacturing or production environment? We’re looking for a Cost Accountant with strong inventory and general ledger experience to join our team in Sandy, Utah. This in-office role is key to maintaining financial accuracy across our polymerics and mortars division. You'll play a critical part in inventory tracking, journal entries, monthly close, and day-to-day financial operations. Requirements

2+ years of hands-on accounting experience in manufacturing or materials-based industries
Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, journal entries, and monthly close
Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems
Detail-oriented and accountable

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods across multiple sites
Reconcile inventory accounts monthly; investigate and resolve variances
Prepare and post journal entries related to inventory, accruals, and cost allocations
Manage core bookkeeping functions including ledger maintenance and account reconciliations
Support the monthly close process to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
Assist with the implementation and data migration to a new accounting/inventory system
Partner with production and warehouse teams to improve inventory tracking and reporting
Provide reporting and insights on cost of goods sold, inventory valuation, and margins
Support internal and external audit requirements related to inventory and operations
Lead or assist with ad hoc financial projects and process improvement initiatives
