About The Position

The Cost Accountant will ensure operational compliance with both US and international regulatory guidelines. The role involves reviewing and validating inventory transactions, analyzing and reconciling inventory accounts, and developing costing models to support new product introductions. The position also involves managing all aspects of the Fixed Asset function and preparing month-end account reconciliations, contributing to KPI development and reporting.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in cost accounting, fixed asset management, inventory management, and financial analysis.
  • Experience in standard costing and variance analysis.
  • ERP experience and cost analysis expertise.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree or CMA highly desired.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience working in a standard cost system.
  • Independent, inquisitive, and a self-starter.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong collaboration skills with a multicultural and cross-functional team.

  • Working knowledge of business intelligence tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
  • Analyze and reconcile inventory accounts, including raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods.
  • Develop costing models to support new product introductions, process changes, and operational improvements.
  • Manage all aspects of the Fixed Asset function, including tracking additions/disposals and preparing monthly depreciation entries.
  • Prepare month-end account reconciliations and contribute to KPI development and reporting.
  • Assist in enhancing policies, procedures, and internal controls related to the procure-to-pay and inventory cycles.
  • Provide cost analysis and insights that support production planning, margin optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in the annual cost roll process and update standard costs as needed.
