About The Position

HistoSonics is a medical device company, founded in 2009, that has developed a non-invasive, sonic beam therapy platform that uses histotripsy, which is capable of destroying targeted liver tumors. The Cost Analyst is an entry level position responsible for supporting the cost accounting function within the organization. This individual is a part of a team responsible for ensuring that the company's financial statements accurately reflect the true cost of goods and services produced, including all direct and indirect costs associated with production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and other financial software.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles and standards.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance of the standard costing system to ensure accurate inventory valuation.
• Prepare month end journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with cost accounting controls, policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of cost data.
• Support physical inventory count process.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors and other stakeholders.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline the cost accounting function.
• Additional ad hoc operational and business analysis as necessary.
