Cosmetology Instructor
About The Position
Cosmetology Instructors (Learning Leaders) play a vital role in the success of our future professionals. Responsibilities may include: Classroom Instruction - Teaching haircutting, color, texture, theory, and/or professional development using Paul Mitchell systems and culture. Clinic Floor Supervision - Overseeing guest services, providing technical guidance, and coaching students on salon success skills such as consultations, rebooking, and retailing. Coaching & Mentorship - Inspiring, motivating, and modeling professionalism in alignment with Paul Mitchell culture. Ongoing Training - Participating in technical training and quarterly paid on-site training to strengthen both instructional and technical skills.
Requirements
- Current Cosmetology or Barbering License in the state of Maryland (required).
- Former or current salon experience working behind the chair.
- Passion for education, mentoring, and helping others succeed.
- Strong technical skill set in color, cutting, texture, and sanitation.
- Ability to use technology as part of the learning process.
- Comfort with public speaking and classroom instruction (for classroom-based roles).
