About The Position
The Cosmetology Instructor is responsible for teaching, motivating, mentoring, and coaching future salon professionals in customer-focused service, creating a rich learning experience both in the classroom and on the clinic floor. The instructor will oversee all clinic floor operations, ensuring a smooth transition for students and clients. This includes managing the clinic floor, dispensary, service desk, and other areas as needed. The instructor will check each service to ensure that all guests receive a consultation, add-on service, and take-home recommendations, while also maintaining a clean and attractive clinic environment. In addition to service experience facilitation, the instructor will coach students on maintaining cleanliness and organization, including cleaning service tools and sweeping the floor. They will also be responsible for tracking and completing all release cards and guest service tickets, ensuring that students adhere to state board rules for sanitation and service safety. The instructor will maintain accurate academic and attendance records, serving as a resource expert in customer-focused service. They will illustrate exemplary guest service at all learning levels and demonstrate proper techniques for retail recommendations. As a success coach, the instructor will motivate students to focus on customer service, daily service goals, and take-home recommendations. The instructor is expected to be a positive and professional community member, attending staff meetings, graduations, and celebrations to help sustain the school culture. Proper credentials, including licensure from the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology, are required for this position.
