About The Position

To be well versed and an expert in the field of Cosmetology and Advanced Esthetics as described by the Laws of the State of Nevada. To deliver exceptional guest service to all guests of the Golden Nugget Spa and Salon and maintain a clean and healthful environment for delivering services according to the Policies, Procedures, and Protocols listed on our Menu of Services. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company's brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. - Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years work experience.
• 1 year of working or assisting in a Luxury Spa and Salon environment.
• Current License from the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology.
• Current Advanced Esthetician License from the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology.
• Demonstrates strong teamwork, training, and coaching abilities, with a proven track record of supporting and motivating peers to achieve excellence.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and articulate.
• Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required; Book4Time experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
• Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide services including but not limited to haircuts, blowouts, updos, extensions and chemical services with the ability to produce both a creative and technically accurate visual presentation per treatment and department protocol.
• Provide skin care services including facials, body treatments, make-up, lashes and applications with the ability to produce both a creative and technically accurate visual presentation per treatment and department protocols.
• Provide nail care services including manicures, pedicures, gel and acrylic applications with the ability to produce both a creative and technically accurate visual presentation per treatment and department protocols.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products and retail offerings, stay informed on the latest trends in hair, skin, and nail care services and techniques, and communicate those trends confidently and professionally to guests.
• Actively promote and recommend service treatments, enhancements, upgrades, and retail products to guests.
• Demonstrate mastery in performing all applicable services listed on our Menu of Services.
• Clean, stock, and maintain salon stations, shampoo bowls, nail stations, esthetic treatment rooms, equipment, and dispensary areas to ensure a safe, sanitary, and well-organized environment.
• Maintain current licenses and continuing education requirements essential to job performance and Nevada State Licensing.
• Attend all mandatory training sessions essential to job performance and service excellence.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for guests and employees.
• Properly perform all salon treatments available to our guests in a professional and timely manner.
• Perform salon treatments as requested in alternate areas (i.e. guest rooms, poolside, etc.).
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.
