About The Position

The Cosmetologist provides professional services to guests, including hair care, skin care, nail care, and related treatments. This role focuses on delivering exceptional guest service, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and staying current on industry trends, products and techniques. The Cosmetologist is responsible for delivering exceptional salon and beauty services while ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction. This role requires technical excellence, professionalism, and adherence to The Spa at Pinehurst standards. The Cosmetologist provides personalized services in a clean, organized, and welcoming environment, ensuring all appointments are completed on time and with consistent quality.

Requirements

  • Current cosmetology license in the state of North Carolina required.
  • Proficient in hair, skin, and nail services as required by licensure.
  • High School Diploma required and a minimum of 2 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Detail-oriented, professional, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and industry development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional cosmetology services, including, but not limited to, Head Spa, nail, and facial services as permitted by license
  • Deliver all services with a warm, professional, and guest-focused demeanor
  • Conduct consultations and recommend appropriate services and retail products
  • Adhere to all spa policies, procedures, standards, and safety regulations
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstations and equipment to North Carolina State Board standards
  • Attend scheduled department meetings and educational sessions
  • Ensure services are performed on time and meet quality standards
  • Foster positive guest relationships and consistently exceed service expectations
  • Treat guests, members, and Employee Partners with courtesy, dignity, and respect
  • Remain flexible and support spa operations as needed to meet business demands
  • Observe all safety and security procedures. Use equipment and material properly.
  • Assist with training and mentoring new team members as requested
  • Perform other job duties as assigned
