About The Position

The stylist is the most important position in the salon. We are very proud of our stylists and believe that our stylists are the best in the business. The stylist is responsible for servicing guests in a friendly, professional way and understanding that the guest's satisfaction is of utmost importance. The stylist will accomplish this by following the Brand Standards. Utilizing a thorough consultation procedure to ensure that every guest's expectations are exceeded is part of the commitment a stylist makes when becoming a member of our family. Essential Functions include providing quality services that encompass an exceptional client consultation and a price quote for services. Stylists are expected to educate and recommend products to help guests maintain their hairstyles between salon visits. Building relationships that contribute to an environment of teamwork and achieving goals is crucial. Additionally, stylists must make positive contributions to the salon culture, creating an exceptional work environment. Correctly charging for services rendered and products purchased, including proper discounting, is also a key responsibility. Stylists are required to meet or exceed minimum productivity standards as established by the Salon Leader and utilize existing business building tools and programs to increase sales and guest retention. They should work the lease line to promote the salon's business and create new clients. Good time management skills, good judgement, and the ability to multi-task are essential. Furthermore, stylists must display a sound understanding and perform all available services in a competent, efficient, and professional manner. Salon duties include payment processing, answering the phone, taking appointments, stocking shelves, performing opening/closing duties, cleaning the salon and shelves, and conducting cycle counts. Effective control of salon operating costs relating to back bar and retail inventories is also required. Attendance is crucial, and stylists must follow company policy regarding all time off requests. Maintaining a current Cosmetology, Natural Hair, or Barber's License in the state is mandatory. Attendance and completion of all required technical training sessions are also expected. Maintaining a professional appearance and a positive attitude while adhering to all corporate policies, procedures, and work rules is essential. Finally, ensuring that opening/closing procedures are performed with care and accuracy and that daily bank deposits are made is part of the role.
