Requirements
- Has 3+ year of experience as a hairstylist educator, trainer, or mentor in a salon, spa, or barbershop environment
- Holds a current Virginia Cosmetology or Hairstylist license
- Is organized, proactive, and able to create a structured learning environment
- Communicates clearly—even in challenging moments—and always aims for the best outcome
- Has a track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Can pivot gracefully, multitask with ease, and stay upbeat under pressure
- Loves building others up and fostering a culture of growth, confidence, and artistry
Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on training in blowouts, finishing techniques, braids, updos, and Drybar service standards
- Coach stylists at all levels—new hires, developing stylists, and seasoned pros—to ensure consistency and confidence
- Deliver ongoing education sessions, skill refreshers, and performance-based coaching
- Support stylists in mastering timing, efficiency, and guest experience standards
- Partner with leadership to identify training needs and create development plans
- Maintain a positive, growth-focused learning environment that reflects Drybar’s upbeat, hospitality-driven culture
- Model exceptional guest service and technical excellence on the floor
- Uphold brand standards, sanitation protocols, and operational consistency
