About The Position

The Cosmetic R&D Product Development Manager at LG H&H USA, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of skincare products, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across various functions. This role supports brand launches and innovation while managing product planning, sourcing, and development processes. The position requires a strong understanding of the cosmetics industry and involves working closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in science required.
• 5+ years of experience in the cosmetic industry; skincare background is required.
• Cosmetics/Skincare Manufacturing R&D experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, formulation, and project management skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Organized, multi-functional, and flexible to handle multiple projects, priorities, and tasks.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States on a permanent, ongoing basis without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to several functions across R&D and Product Development for LG H&H and The Avon business.
• Manage all levels of planning & development communication for Skin categories with oversight from Head of R&D.
• Evaluate product submissions in a timely manner and communicate with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare R&D briefs and product sell sheets.
• Coordinate all testing and manage budgeting.
• Conduct research and analysis to inform product development strategy.
• Partner with internal teams and external third-party vendors to ensure timeline and delivery.
• Manage all levels of administration related to product planning, sourcing & development, including payment processing.
• Respond to Korea HQ's requests for shared service including contract manufacturer search, testing support, tech transfer project support, etc.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sourcing, Regulatory, Quality, and Packaging Engineering) to provide feedback and access new technology.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the North American cosmetics/beauty business.
• Handle ad hoc requests and projects.
