About The Position

This position is part of the COSI (Cost of Sales & Inventory) organization, which performs end-to-end activities of accounting for units of inventory all through the supply chain. In this role the Senior Specialist will be responsible for maintaining, reviewing, reporting and analyzing inventory, intercompany profit, production and product cost data, in supporting the monthly accounting close and management cycles for one or multiple plants. This role is responsible for the following: Maintain and create product cost according to US GAAP rules. Control, analyze and report production results and source-to-settle variances monthly to business partners by providing high-level commentary and providing estimates for recurring events to major stakeholders. Review and ensure accurate data is reported per plant in monthly product cost and inventory. Analyze and resolve in-transit inventory in a timely manner, following up to determine the driver of inventory remaining in-transit and partnering with parties to resolve. Analyze consolidated costs and intercompany profit differences. Identify and work on initiatives that improve cost control and/or increase efficiency. Continue to meet the S404 requirements, updating documentation and performing/enhancing existing controls. Analyze standard revision on global level by plant and ensure appropriate accounting is performed from a local and global perspective. Address entity/divisional customer inquiries on a variety of data and system issues and provide accurate financial data. Prepare annual profit plan for assigned plants and products and idle capacity analysis. Participate in special and ad-hoc projects to support management analysis and provide ad-hoc support to business partners. Openly share and mentor experiences with peers to broaden knowledge and increase efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Art/Science degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant finance experience, preferable in a manufacturing environment
