About The Position

The Licensed Substitute Teacher will provide backup teaching services when full-time teachers are unable to work. The Sub will follow the regular teacher's lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency and optimal learning, and that encourages students to participate. The Sub may grade classwork, homework, and tests. Must be able to modify teaching styles to fit the learning styles of various students. Maintain a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment.

Requirements

• Must have a current Substitute License through Colorado Department of Education (CDE).
• High School diploma.
• Substitute Authorization through CDE (Required).

Responsibilities

• Keep records of attendance, accidents, and incidents.
• Protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Always ensure the safety of students.
• Consult with Principal on responsibilities during the teacher's absence.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
• Observe all district policies and procedures.
