About The Position

Keep machine running ensuring order quality by checking each load for: Warp, wrinkles, bond, or other quality problems Review the run sheet for Size, color, flute changes Special unit counts and heights Coating orders Tear tape Auxiliary set ups Narrow and wide trim Notify control room about problems Record caliper of sheet at each grade change Communicate with tally regarding: Sorting out bad board Number of stacks tied Possible fall over loads before they discharge Tie in multiple outs when possible Clear jam ups Fill out stacker checklist for each order Proper maintenance reporting using work order procedure Request help from the Dry End Assistant when necessary

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Demonstrate full understanding of tally 1 & 2, dry & wet end assistant positions
  • Demonstrate knowledge of paper weights, size, liner, medium, kraft, white and special exceptions
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of customer requirement recognizing what is conforming and nonconforming material
  • Demonstrate ability to read a production schedule including special instructions
  • Demonstrate awareness of schedule and what is needed to satisfy the customer
  • Must be able to expediently and accurately read, count numbers, check tags and calculate accumulative quantities
  • Communicate and work closely with all team members
  • Must have a working knowledge of the overall machine operationally

Nice To Haves

  • Prior work experience in a corrugated manufacturing plant, preferred
  • Equipment operating experience, preferred
