About The Position

The position involves performing advanced activities related to the design and maintenance of corrosion control systems. The role requires a high level of expertise in corrosion control, including installation, maintenance, and monitoring of systems, as well as conducting non-destructive testing and troubleshooting interference problems. The employee will also be responsible for compiling financial information and conducting environmental activities as specified by the position.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years related work experience in corrosion control
  • Experience and training relative to company and governmental operating/safety procedures
  • Experience with construction and maintenance activities
  • Experience in locating lines and One Call System policies and procedures
  • Experience in use, function, maintenance, and repair of cathodic protection tools and equipment
  • Experience with facility/system operations
  • Experience working with pipe coating, basic chemistry, electronics, and metallurgy
  • Experience reading and interpreting maps, drawings, procedures, survey results, and applicable operation and repair manuals

Nice To Haves

  • NACE Cathodic Protection Certification/Corrosion Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced level of support with installation, maintenance, and monitoring of corrosion control systems
  • Conduct Non-Destructive Testing on facilities
  • Install, test, adjust, and/or repair rectifiers, anodes, and test points
  • Troubleshoot and repair interference/foreign contact problems
  • Perform continuity tests and soil resistivity surveys and other special surveys
  • Inspect, calibrate, maintain, and/or repair cathodic protection tools and equipment
  • Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles
  • Complete and/or update reports and documents including test readings, Atlas pages, maps, plats, diagrams, job orders, and equipment maintenance reports
  • Compile, verify, and/or prepare financial information including forecasted versus actual expenses and governmental/regulatory reports
  • Measure internal, external and atmospheric corrosion per industry standards
  • Conduct environmental activities as specified by position
