About The Position

Select Medical is seeking a Correspondence Representative to join their Outpatient Central Business Office located in Canonsburg, PA. This role is ideal for someone with strong research skills, great communication, and a desire to make a real difference in the billing process for patients and insurance providers. As a Correspondence Representative, you will be part of the Accounts Receivable team, focusing on resolving issues related to unpaid insurance claims.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ year of customer service experience (retail, hospitality, banking, or healthcare)

Nice To Haves

• Experience with medical billing or insurance claims
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Comfortable with high-volume computer work
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Investigate and follow up on unpaid insurance claims over 120 days old
• Research reasons for non-payment and escalate issues when needed
• Communicate with insurance carriers, clinics, and patients
• Request additional documentation or retro authorizations when necessary
• Accurately log all actions and outcomes in our billing system
• Support other billing-related projects and tasks as assigned
