The Corrective Action Program (CAP) is a foundational component of the NiSource Safety Management System and a critical driver of operational excellence at NiSource. It offers a simple way to document identified risks and utilize a systematic process to review, prioritize, address, and track progress to reduce risks. The CAP Specialist is responsible for the timely, accurate screening and assignment of CAP Condition Report and asset related Event and Near Miss submissions through the CAP Digital Platform. The CAP Specialist is also responsible for assisting the Operational Excellence Lead – CAP Execution with supporting stakeholders through various CAP Condition Report workflow steps and preparation of State Risk Table meetings.
