About The Position
Utilize your counseling expertise with the Department of Corrections! We are seeking a highly motivated Corrections Counselor 1 to join our treatment team at the State Correctional Institute (SCI) at Camp Hill and provide counseling services to inmates. If you are excited to explore a new and rewarding career, apply today! As a Corrections Counselor 1, you will be responsible for casework management and providing professional counseling services to inmates at SCI Camp Hill. The counseling you provide will help inmates resolve personal and family problems, learn how to resolve conflicts, and appropriately address any other concerns. You can expect to conduct individual counseling, as well as help inmates obtain information regarding employment opportunities and community resources. In this position, you will be developing, maintaining, and presenting records and reports for managing an inmate caseload. Additionally, you will participate in parole planning and make recommendations on re-entry services.
