About The Position

The Correctional Youth Supervisor III at the Aspire Youth Service Center is responsible for overseeing and supervising direct care Youth Services Security Officers. This role involves managing staff schedules, ensuring the safety and security of youth, and implementing trauma-responsive practices within a locked facility. The supervisor will also be involved in performance management, staff training, and maintaining compliance with Division of Youth Services policies.

Requirements

• Two years of professional, corrections-related experience in a correctional or trauma-informed facility.
• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise direct care Youth Services Security Officers.
• Manage staff scheduling and movement of juveniles.
• Oversee admissions, releases, and orientation for staff and youth.
• Ensure compliance with DYS policies and QAYS DYS Compliance Standards.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to subordinate staff.
• Participate in the hiring process and assist with staff retention.
• Train staff on relevant policies and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to safety and security protocols during emergencies.
• Supervise and maintain youth center programming and activities.
• Document daily facility operations and ensure accurate record-keeping.
