About The Position
The Correctional Officer at FCI Schuylkill is responsible for the supervision, care, and correctional treatment of inmates, ensuring the maintenance of institution security and promoting the health and welfare of inmates. This role involves enforcing facility rules and regulations, maintaining inmate accountability, and ensuring judicial sanctions are carried out. The officer may also be required to carry firearms and use physical force when necessary to maintain control of inmates, especially during emergencies or high workload periods.
