About The Position

The Correctional Officer position involves overseeing and monitoring the activities of inmates in various areas within a correctional facility. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Valid Driver's license required.
• No felony convictions.
• Background check and drug screen will be conducted.
• No prior experience required as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor the activities of inmates in living areas, recreation activity areas, dining areas, and visitation.
• Coordinate and monitor inmate movements.
• Conduct counts of inmates.
• Provide emergency response as needed.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment.
• Work as a team to coordinate activities with fellow officers and supervisors.
