The County of Yolo is recruiting to fill multiple regular, full-time positions in the class of Correctional Officer I at the Yolo County Sheriff's Office. The Correctional Officer I - BSCC T-score Transfer recruitment is used to offer an expedited selection process to those that have already taken and passed the Board of State and Communication Corrections (BSCC) exam for Adult Corrections Officer, Juvenile Corrections Officer, and Probation Officer Classifications for Local Corrections within the last twelve months. Selected candidates will be assigned to work at the Monroe Detention Center in Woodland, CA. Under direct supervision, to assist in the guarding, control, and supervision of inmates at an adult detention facility; and to do other related work as required. This is the entry-level class of the Correctional Officer series. Incumbents are expected to perform a variety of duties in inmate intake, processing, and custody; in a training capacity, learn to perform the full range of correctional duties characteristic of the class of Correctional Officer II. Incumbents are expected to fully qualify for Correctional Officer II at the end of one year in this position.
