Correctional Officers supervise inmates in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and special verbal instruction. They observe the conduct and behavior of inmates, maintain discipline, enforce rules, conduct frequent counts, provide non-professional counseling to inmates, and are responsible for the prevention of disturbances and escapes during an assigned shift. Currently recruiting for applicants to work 3pm - 11pm or 11pm - 7am shifts. Employees who work either of these shifts get a $1.00/hour shift differential. Current Cumberland County Employees will follow the County Promotion/Demotion policy.
