About The Position

Responsibilities

  • Enforce standards, rules, and regulations as per established manuals.
  • Provide facility safety and security through inmate supervision and searches.
  • Apply physical restraint and non-lethal techniques for safety.
  • Conduct admissions of offenders, including fingerprinting and data recording.
  • Perform preliminary interviews for health and classification assessments.
  • Coordinate and supervise inmate services and activities.
  • Supervise inmate movement and maintain discipline to prevent contraband introduction.
  • Provide orientation and training on facility rules to volunteers and employees.
  • Collaborate with criminal justice and community officials for inmate treatment compliance.
  • Ensure proper release of inmates according to policies.
  • Be available for extra hours and cover multiple areas in emergencies.
  • Work in various roles as assigned by the Lead Correctional Officer.
