About The Position

This temporary position is located at 4600 Swamp Fox Hwy - Columbus County, with the Department of Adult Correction. Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $25.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). Requirements

  • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and three years of experience in institutional food preparation and food services, in management of a commercial food service operations, or as a Correctional Officer; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise offender workers engaged in a variety of activities in food production including cooking, baking and serving food.
  • Train offenders in institutional cooking, baking, and serving while maintaining sanitation standards in all kitchen areas, including proper food storage.
  • Supervision of quality and sanitary regulations.
  • Evaluating daily for the quality of food service and sanitary conditions.
