About The Position

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of three of the five pre-corrections classes designated for corrections officers by the State of Michigan with a grade of 'C' or better, or 45 credit hours of college instruction with a 'C' average.
• Familiarity with the use and care of firearms, meeting department firearms qualifications.
• Ability to type and input data into computer terminals.
• Possession of a valid operator's license.
• Successful completion of the Michigan Sheriff's Coordinating and Training Council pre-employment minimum standards for mental and physical fitness.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in law enforcement or corrections is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities
