About The Position
The Butte County Sheriff's Office is recruiting for Correctional Deputy level I and level II (Lateral) positions. This role involves maintaining facility security and inmate welfare in a County Jail, overseeing inmate work, preparing reports, and performing related duties. The position offers a $25,000 hiring bonus for entry-level correctional deputies and a $50,000 hiring bonus for lateral correctional deputies. Employees in these classifications receive a 7.5% Detention Premium Pay in addition to their base salary.
