About The Position
Under the supervision of the Unit-I Central Facility Captain, the Correctional Counselor- II (Supervisor) will monitor, coordinate, and review the casework of Incarcerated persons (IPs) retained in O-Wing (OW), Restricted Housing Unit (RHU) after their initial Institutional Classification Committee (ICC); supervise, assign and review work of the Correctional Counselor I's assigned to OW, RHU. This position will also ensure that the preparation of and the classification of IP in RHU is conducted according to departmental policies; serves as a member of the classification committee and reviews cases submitted to the Classification Staff Representative (CSR) for transfer consideration. The CC-II will ensure time frames/due process procedures are met, investigate and answer IP Grievances and correspondence, conduct interviews with IPs, and ensure counselors receive appropriate training.
