The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) is seeking dedicated candidates to fill important roles within our department. In order to fulfill our mission of promoting safety, we have increased security at our institutions while leading the way in innovative restorative justice projects that will help offenders reintegrate into society upon release. This recruitment is limited to current DPSCS employees. A Correctional Case Management Supervisor is the supervisory level of work in assessing and evaluating the personal and criminal history of adult inmates to recommend a security level and in developing and monitoring appropriate work and educational programs. Employees in this classification supervise lower-level Correctional Case Management Specialists. Provides direct supervision of the Case Management Specialists by providing information and guidance, performance expectations and evaluations and recommending disciplinary action. Reviews pertinent written documents, including case management actions, to ensure accuracy and completeness and to evaluate and make recommendations to managerial staff, in accordance with policy and procedure. Responds to inquiries from inmates, family members, outside agencies, attorneys and others regarding inmates' incarceration and about agency policies and procedures, in person, by telephone and in writing. Coordinates, monitors and participates in training of case management unit staff to ensure continuity of services and to ensure compliance with agency policy and procedure. Disseminates and interprets relevant information pertaining to agency policy and procedure to other institutional departments via staff meetings, and written correspondence to ensure knowledge and compliance. Assumes duties and responsibilities of a Case Management Manager in the absence of the Case Management Manager or in facilities without a manager, to assure continuity of services within the facility. Performs all other related duties, as assigned.
