MDOC is destigmatizing corrections for the betterment of all Maine communities. Through the ‘Maine Model of Corrections’, we promote the safety of our staff and residents while reducing barriers to meaningful rehabilitative opportunities. We facilitate restorative justice practices that equip justice-involved residents and clients with the skills they need to become contributing members of society upon release, including treatment, education, and job training. We are committed to rebuilding lives and are searching for great team players with a professional attitude and well-developed integrity and ethics to join us in this mission. Position Overview: Each resident is assigned a Correctional Care and Treatment Worker (CCTW, Case Manager) who serves as the primary case manager for their case plan. The position works with an interdisciplinary unit management team comprised of security, behavioral health, and other specialized staff, which assists each resident in developing a case management plan and provides coaching to residents in support of their institutional adjustment and other needs. The CCTW is the primary staff that works directly with the resident and other partners such as internal staff, community-based agencies, and Probation and Parole in the development of community reintegration plans. The position also offers non-clinical individual and group programming to residents in various domains, such as domestic violence, cognitive behavioral programs, and pro-social communication.
