About The Position
This Correction Enterprise Supervisor I will serve as a Laundry Production Supervisor at the Correction Enterprises Craggy Laundry Facility located in Asheville, NC. The primary purpose of the Craggy Laundry is to provide Laundry services for the Department of Adult Correction and other tax-supported agencies. The Correction Enterprise Supervisor I is responsible for training inmates in the safe, proper, and most efficient operation of equipment and practices utilized in a laundry production environment, while ensuring quality and quantity standards in accordance with applicable laws, policies and procedures. This employee will organize and direct work assignments of inmates. Responsibilities include supervision of laundry production including receiving, sorting soiled linens, weighing, washing, drying, ironing, folding, and visual inspection of finished/packaged products. The Correction Enterprise Supervisor I provides inmates with orientation/training of plant procedures and safety training. Training includes proper use of machinery, safety/proper handling of laundry, infection control, laundry chemicals, and maintaining good housekeeping practices. This position is also responsible for reporting daily offender time records.
