About The Position

The Corps Mission Specialist serves as an evangelist to the community and leads in developing pathways to community ministry and discipleship opportunities for adults and youth, providing spiritual guidance. The Corps Mission Specialist will plan, coordinate, administer, monitor, evaluate, and grow the day-to-day operations of Kroc programming in key areas. These areas include but are not limited to Women's Ministry, Men's Ministry, Corps Cadets, Junior Soldiers, Sunday School, Character Building, selected special events, community outreach, community devotions, ministry visitation to name a few. Evangelize through the proclamation of Jesus Christ as Redeemer, with the intent of impacting the lives of men and women through spiritual regeneration. Promote membership into the body of Christ. Assist and partner with the Corps.

Requirements

• Exhibit a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Passion for evangelism and outreach.
• Must possess High School diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrate mature Christian character with a passion for mission and youth.
• 1-2 years of progressive youth ministry leadership experience.
• Uniformed Salvationist preferred.
• Well developed relational/interpersonal skills.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced, frequently changing work environment.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks.
• Ability to function effectively without supervision.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic administrative skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
• Team player.
• Ability to work with varied ethnic and socio-economic populations.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Valid Pennsylvania State Driver's License and ability to operate required fleet vehicle(s).
• Meets Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153.
