About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Travel Risk Specialist to join the Global Travel Risk Program. This program is part of the Intelligence and Risk Analysis (CSIRA) team within Corporate Security group. The position will be responsible for facilitating safe and secure international business travel for Wells Fargo employees (100+ Countries) through the detailed review of itineraries to elevated risk locations to ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures. Additionally, the Global Travel Risk Specialist will utilize open-source information and vendor platforms to conduct global monitoring for developing or ongoing issues which have the potential to impact business travel.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
  • Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions independently and escalate concerns or updates to senior executives as appropriate.
  • Proven capability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, maintaining focus and performance.
  • Strong independent and critical thinking skills, with minimal need for ongoing guidance from management or peers.
  • Previous experience supporting global travel, travel risk, or corporate security programs for multinational organizations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information concisely and professionally.
  • Educational or professional background in international affairs, intelligence, travel risk, or corporate security.
  • Experience using mass communication technologies to manage communications during incidents or emergencies.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work outside normal business hours during crises or as directed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using third-party travel risk platforms such as Crisis24/Worldcue, Everbridge Travel Protector, or International SOS.
  • Familiarity with global risk and intelligence vendors, including Everbridge, Sibylline, Intelligence Fusion, Factal, and Crisis24.

Responsibilities

  • Review travel requests and itineraries to elevated risk destinations to ensure compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
  • Contact travelers and/or delegates if documents or contents are missing or noncompliant with travel policies.
  • Monitor the Global Travel Risk mailbox and respond to all inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Utilize third-party risk platforms to monitor for incidents that could impact Wells Fargo business travelers globally; follow established protocols to communicate with travelers and report status to key stakeholders and incident management teams.
  • Efficiently and diligently document all actions taken in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support crisis management operations during major incidents as required, which may include working outside of normal business hours.
  • Compile and disseminate Travel Risk Advisories as needed.
  • Provide travel risk support for major company events as required.
  • Fulfill responsibilities related to the maintenance and publication of country risk ratings and hotel security assessments.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including working closely with Global Intelligence specialists to facilitate information sharing, identify and understand travel requirements, and document regional travel risks and posture.
