The Corporate Travel & Events Specialist will own and continuously evolve InPwr’s enterprise-wide travel and events programs. This role is responsible for designing scalable, cost-effective travel strategies and delivering high-impact events that strengthen culture, engagement, and brand experience across a national workforce. In partnership with the Engagement Manager, the Specialist will operate as a program leader driving vendor strategy, policy design, financial optimization, and end-to-end experience delivery, all while serving as a trusted advisor to leadership and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of progressive experience in corporate travel, event strategy and management, hospitality, or related program ownership roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Communications, or related.
  • Demonstrated ownership of enterprise programs (not just execution support).
  • Strong commercial acumen: budgeting, negotiation, and cost optimization.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and operating cross-functionally.
  • Proven ability to translate business objectives into scalable programs and experiences.
  • High level of judgment, discretion, and problem-solving in dynamic environments.
  • Occasional ability to travel and support events during non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design, governance, and continuous improvement of the corporate travel program.
  • Resolve issues related to travel disruptions or emergency response.
  • Establish and evolve travel policies aligned with business needs, cost discipline, and employee experience.
  • Conduct periodic audits for compliance and desired outcomes.
  • Analyze travel spending, trends, and utilization to drive strategic sourcing and savings initiatives.
  • Develop preferred vendor strategies and negotiate enterprise-level agreements.
  • Serve as escalation point for complex travel issues and risk scenarios.
  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of enterprise events (e.g., annual Summit, leadership meetings, holiday events, culture initiatives, community events).
  • Translate business objectives into event experiences that reinforce company culture and brand.
  • Develop standardized event playbooks, SOPs, scalable processes, and quality benchmarks.
  • Manage event timelines, attendee communications, logistics, budgets, run of show documents, and staffing plans.
  • Coordinate event registration, travel, and lodging for event participants.
  • Measure event effectiveness (engagement, ROI, feedback) and refine future programming.
  • Own vendor strategy across travel and events (air, hotel, care rental companies, travel agencies, venues, A/V, production).
  • Lead contract negotiations, including pricing, service levels, and risk protections.
  • Build a high-performing vendor ecosystem aligned to growth and geographic footprint.
  • Ensure manager and executive alignment.
  • Develop and manage annual travel and event budgets.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on spending, savings, and ROI.
  • Identify and implement cost optimization strategies without compromising experience.
  • Partner with InCorp Services, HR, Finance, Operations, and field leadership to align travel and event solutions with business needs.
  • Act as a consultant to leaders planning regional or team-based events.
  • Influence decision-making through data, insights, and experience design recommendations.
  • Own travel and event technology platforms and data integrity.
  • Implement tools and automation to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop SOPs and governance frameworks for consistency across events and locations.
  • Provide clear, timely communication to travelers, event attendees, and vendors.
  • Communicate updates, travel alerts, and event details clearly and professionally.
  • Maintain a service‑oriented approach, resolving issues quickly and effectively.
  • Offer real-time support during travel or troubleshooting events.
  • Other job duties as assigned based on the changing needs of the business.
