About The Position

Performance Foodservice, PFG's broadline distributor, maintains a unique relationship with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants and hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants, and other experts builds close relationships with customers — providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection, and operational strategies. The Performance team delivers delicious food but also goes above and beyond to help independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 1-2 years of experience in training and development including curriculum design, program delivery, and learning assessment.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office/Office 365/WebEx and other similar online training platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 Years of experience in training and development including curriculum design.
  • Demonstrated passion for learning and growth.
  • Instructional design and Articulate eLearning software experience is preferred.
  • Previous sales training experience in the foodservice industry.

Responsibilities

  • Help shape the ongoing strategy/vision of Performance Foodservice Training and Development department.
  • Deliver formal (instructor-led classroom), informal or online (webinar) training to sales associates.
  • Assist with associate onboarding blended learning program to virtually deliver sales order entry system training and other Performance Foodservice training.
  • Assess individual/group training needs and adjust pace and environment as needed.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining/updating, evaluating, and improving training programs, documentation, materials, and resources for Performance Foodservice training.
  • Speak/train effectively in front of groups and possess strong customer service skills.
  • Participate in software user acceptance training and assist in software implementation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
